Went hiking today. We had a fantastic time. We definitely need to get into shape for Austria. I apologize for the sucky gallery. I’m just using this while I work out all of my old photos.

We hiked up Tower Trail, Over to Meadow Trail, Around Old Ute Trail, back down Meadow Trail, visited the “Castle Ruins” and headed back to the car over Castle Trail.

So, I had just gotten home, Tanja was about to leave when BOOM! This 20something ran into the neighbor’s parked car. Tanja went out to see, came back inside and called 911. I brought him a couple towels. He had about a 2.5inch gash on his forehead to the skull. Thankfully, the girls were in school and noone else was hurt. once the cops showed up, they questioned him, he mentioned drinking. Maybe he was drinking Wild Turkey.
The broken windshield is from the passenger airbag. There was a baby seat in back… thank goodness it was empty. On the SUV, the rear axle was bent, so it’s going to be a big fix.

I think I’m going to make the “picture a day” more dynamic. not change my initial thoughts on what I would like to accomplish with the project, change the static, ordinary poses of them. Try to catch more candid shots. like below. One a day, un-edited, un-touched up, cropping ok, exposure ok. My idea is “warts and all”. Dried milk, chocolate lip licking lines, boogers… you get the idea. See them in their element. And by candid, I mean, candid if I can get one… you know how hard it is to get a candid of a 7 and 5 year old if they catch a glimpse of a camera.
